An easy way to cut really large wires

Not a wire cutter, but it works like a charm

Cutting really large wires, like this 3/4" diameter braided power cable, with a normal "wire cutter" is a real challenge to your hand and arm strength. A perfect solution is a ratcheting pipe cutter like this one, designed to cut heavy schedule 40 PVC pipe. The strong mechanical leverage, ratcheting action, and sharp blade make short and easy work of cutting really heavy wire.

Note that this trick only works on braided wires this large, solid wires are best cut by a bolt cutter.
